Welcome to our wedding website!  We are so excited and honored to be sharing our special day with all of you.  Hopefully you can join us as we celebrate our love with family and friends!

We met in August 2011 when Craig was starting his new teacher orientation at Lancaster High School.  I immediately knew that I had to get to know Craig better after we were introduced.  Not being one to back down from a challenge, I invited him out for drinks with a group of friends from work.  That night, as we sat in a crowded bar (well, semi-crowded, it is Kilmarnock after all), we drifted off into our own world.  If you ask anyone who was there, they would tell you that it was like no one else existed in the bar.  After a late night walk to the beach and hours of conversation, we became inseparable. 

People often say that when you meet “the one” you will instantly know.  We both never really put much faith into that belief until we had met each other and with this feeling, in April of 2012 we began to plan our lives together.

In July of 2012, I took Craig on a surprise trip to Charleston, SC.  However, as we relaxed at Folly Beach one day, I got my own surprise.  Craig hid a ring box in the beach bag.   Since I am completely oblivious to most things, I did not find it until maybe the third time I went into the bag for something (I kept wondering why Craig was silently shaking his head every time I would dig into the bag).  Wedding planning has been fast and furious since then and we are eagerly waiting for May 4, 2013 to arrive!!!

The ceremony and reception will all be held at Swan Point Yacht and Country Club in Newburg (or Swan Point) Maryland.  Our ceremony will be short and simple, performed by a close friend.  The ceremony will be held outside near the water by the marina (drive past the club house until you reach the parking lot).  There is a small amount of parking.  Carpooling from the clubhouse to the ceremony site is encouraged.  If the weather does not work in our favor, the ceremony will be held at the clubhouse.

The reception will begin immediately following the ceremony with a simple cocktail hour.  We like to keep things light and fun so the reception will also include an effortless southern style buffet with drinks, dancing and fun!

If you would like to start looking at hotels, check out hotels in Waldorf, MD (where the bride’s family lives), LaPlata, MD (closer to the location of the wedding), and Dahlgren, VA (across the bridge with a $4 toll but, closer to home for our Virginia family and friends).

Waldorf and LaPlata have a lot to offer in other activities and places to visit.  We hope to reserve blocks of rooms at one hotel in each location and that information will be provided with the formal invitation.

Since we have already combined two households, we would love to go on a wonderful honeymoon!  With the honeymoon registry, you can add some fun and excitement to our special trip!!!

The things we have registered for at Target are things that need to be updated/replaced or things that we simply would like to have one day.

It is difficult to express how much everyone means to us.  We cannot think of any combination of words that would ultimately describe how each of you has added to our happiness.  Thank you to all of our family and friends for celebrating our joy, supporting us, showering us with your generosity, and helping us grow as a couple.  We are truly blessed!
